  • LOL…i’m in….

  • I’m doing it

  • Deleted mine months ago… you wouldn’t believe the f*ckin hoops you have to jump through to do that.

  • I would…but way too many folks I know from high school are on there and they never xanga’d in the first place.

And they’re too lazy to facebook!

  • @Drakonskyr - yah but if they’re on myspace, do u really still want to be friends with them?

  • H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks YEA!

  • I’d have to add it back, and well, no thanks, I don’t like pron spam enough for that.

  • I’m in! I hate myspace!!

  • I don’t have a My Space so it’s all good

  • I should do it i don’t use the stupid thing

  • Im definitely in…

  • I deleted mine today, the MySpace that I made 4 years ago but never used.  I tell ya, it’s a real bitch to shut down your MySpace page.

  • excellent. i’m in.

  • I would if I could- I can’t log into my email, and therefore, cannot delete my cursed Myspace. But, I have ceased checking it!

  • it’s for contact purposes only!

  • A lot of my friends don’t have facebook so I’m not going to delete myspace.

  • I already did…like a week ago. DAMN!

  • Great, another thing for teeny’s to jump the bandwagon on. I don’t understand this movement, if you don’t want a myspace, delete yours?

  • If I did that, i wouldn’t get spam from pornbots and cheesy rockbands anymore.

My life would be over! lol.

  • Myspace is so 2005!

  • I beat everyone to it. Mine is dead and burried. Fuck Myspace, let’s resurrect Xanga.

  • I deleted mine years ago, and still tremble with contempt whenever I come across one of those long-abandoned xanga sites which the user has left for dead in favor of myspace. God, I hate that damn thing.

Anyway, yeah. most holy holiday EVAR.

  • MySpace is so bleh!

  • I should do it i don’t use the stupid thing

  • I’m already ahead of you. I did mine long ago :D
Ever think, how many people will rejoin myspace after that day? LOL

  • I already did that! But I shall make a new page just to join the cause.

Personal reasons: I got all these porn site ads sent to my friends under their comments and random pickups, and it’s too dangerous to have that kind of thing floating around while I look for jobs in the legal community.

FYI: I work at a divorce lawyer’s office, and the FIRST thing we do is check for the opposing party on myspace. We usually find a profile with damning evidence, and it DOES come in during trial. So while I love myspace for the idiot masses and my livelihood, it’s not for me.

    Viva la revolucion!

    A.

  • I’M SO IN!!  I hate myspace… here’s the facebook link to join in! http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=8838384171&ref=mf

  • Cool I’ll have to go cre8 a Myspace account now so that I have one to delete next week cuz I’m definitely not deleting my Runescape account

  • Wooo! I’m making a myspace account just for the occassion. :)

  • Haha.  This is great.

  • Yay! This calls for champagne! And I’m proud to say, I deleted my account last year.

  • I never liked myspace, its over rated.  Then again, I do have it just so old mates can look me up.  I post videos, and entries over there but no comments.  Thats the myspace community for ya.

  • Haha. I would, but the fact is, With no phone, and not knowing everyone’s phone number, it’s my only connection to friends from old schools, and from my home state, Georgia. Sorry, but no.

  • My MySpace has been deleted since mid-November. LOL :P

  • I deleted mine long ago. :)

  • Eh, we all have our preferences. Not to say I’m in favor of one over the other (Xanga vs. Myspace). I love Xanga through and through. Myspace serves a different purpose. I absolutely concur with Dragonskyr. I have too many friends on that site who neither use Xanga nor Facebook. I rarely go on Myspace except to check for messages from them.

  • Hm…I’ll pass. It’s almost the only way I keep in contact with family. I still update my xanga, though….I never left xanga in favor of myspace ^-^

  • You will definitely find mine deleted on that day!  Although I can’t wait to delete it now!

  • Should I make one, then delete it? Because Myspace is just for lemmings, never had one.

  • wow, and it’s also my birthday.  how very fitting, since i hate myspace.

  • I deleted mine ages ago! :) Xanga ftw!

  • No thanks, I use it to keep in touch with people.
And so people can understand me better.

  • I want to.. but I know I would end up making a new account a couple of months later (I’ve tried doing this a couple of times). Well, what can I say.. I’m a teenager.

  • lmao I just visited the website. Made me laugh, and one day.. I will delete my myspace! It’s actually in between being useful and wasteful for me at the moment.

  • I use it as a way to contact all of my friends, it’s the easiest and cheapest way to keep in contact with your friends. Xanga isn’t set up for that, Livejournal is more about global communication and facebook… well, I find facebook too complicated. Myspace is simple, private conversation? message them. Public conversation? comment them mass communication? use a buelliten.

I’m not sure I could ever delete my myspace, there are too many people that I talk to only through myspace. My cousins and I use that for communication instead of running up the phone bills, my parents already pay for the internet, I should take advantage of that.

Maybe once a month I get a friend request from someone random, but other then that I’ve rarely experienced problems… except when accessing it at school. c:

  • I deleted mine three (3) times over.

  • never had myspace . rather proud of that.

    EVERYBODY COME BACK TO XANGA.

  • But I like myspace.  Besides, hardly anyone I know uses Xanga.

  • did it a long time ago

  • What a wacky idea. Insane, even.

  • I cannot delete myspace account this year because I would be breaking one of my new years resolutions of not going on

  • I’ve always wanted to use this Mini!

  • …I have an account which I have never used but only to check in on other friends who have it. I would otherwise go about deleting it if only I could stop from laughing so hard, first, over the fact that there is such a thing as Delete Your MySpace Account Day. LOL

  • @phil_leafman -

Forget to add  (it is hard to shutdown,    this was also another reason why to add it to one of my new years resolutions)  Xanga tries to keep it simple

  • I just deleted mine. xP

  • I would delete my account except that there are people that I have on my friends list that will only contact me on myspace instead of sending me a normal email!  It’s tragic!

  • If I had accepted any of my friends invites to join MySpace, I’d delete it.

  • Lol! I deleted mine a couple of months ago.

  • “Join the fight against the evil that is Myspace!”

I quite agree. I don’t even have a Myspace, but if I did, I would delete it. Myspace is the Dark Side of the blogosphere, while Xanga is the Light Side. Mmmm. Join the Dark Side, you must not. Delete it, you will.

  • Umm, no.  MySpace is a nice way of communicating and staying connected with friends that might not have Xanga or Facebook.  So, I’m just going to keep all three.

  • awesome, count me in. for sure.

  • This is a great time for me to use this mini

  • If you knew how much information these social networking sites were collecting about people then you probably wouldn’t want to use them. Also, Myspace is partly owned by News Corp who also own Fox News, a news channel which has been proven to be politically biased (Google it if you dont believe me) .  Facebook is partly owned by Microsoft who have been systematically attacking open source software projects like Linux as well as using dirty play to maintain their forced monopoly in the operating systems market. Do you really want these people getting your personal information or being able to advertise on your computer screen? I certainly  don’t.

  • I am sticking with Xanga and I would never leave it and that is a promise

It would be like me jumping sides and supporting a different football/soccer team

  • Wow, people actually have pacted together to “delete myspace account day”.

Lets try a simpler one like “end world hunger day” to focus our energies on something worthwhile.

  • @HimmelFeuer -

Now that is a very good idea,  hopefully this will be the year we can end world hunger

  • i would too but i’ve been away from home for 3  years now…..and i’m in an place where long distance/international charges on our phone is a biotch….and all my friends and family are on myspace so its my only contact with them.

    but hey! i still Xanga!

  • lol yeah.. i remember that day.. the day where everyone left xanga to myspace. anyway, tell the truth i have myspace facebook and xanga account. all still active. i had other myspace account. and it was badly spammed. so i deleted it long time ago. my current myspace now just.. very very clean. it’s for friends connection purpose only (for those who don’t have xanga or facebook)
    … oh.. and i have friendster -_-
well i’m sorry.. i know too many people. =p

  • The guy I like uses MySpace so… no can do.

  • but, its the only way i can stalk people i dont really like to make sure their lives aren’t better than mine!

  • ps love the tags

  • also i think you should make “listening to” the band garbage.

One more thing and then I’ll stop typing… isn’t this really HELPING myspace? All that extra memory and bandwidth will be freed up. In reality, we should make MORE myspaces and put tons of information on them but not use them, to cost myspace money.

  • I already deleted mine. Damn! If only I had waited a few more days. =(

    -mary

  • @b0gdana -

Good idea about the listening to the band Garbage :)

Btw, the more people that use a site, the more successful it is, and the more money it makes. They already make plenty to cover their costs of servers and bandwidth (considering they closed a $900 million ad deal with google not that long ago).

But more importantly, the more people that are on myspace, the more others have to use it to “keep in touch” as you can see from a lot of the comments here. We don’t want to all be forced to use their site out of necessity.

  • Oh finally! Someone woke up. I’ve always thought MySpace is creepy.

  • i don’t even  think i know my password, gosh… how can i delete it??

  • @adam - i am already forced out of necessity. people wont use regular email, its like its too much work or something, sheesh!

    900 million? cripes.

  • I so totally would if I didn’t just move 10 states away from all of my friends!!

    haha

  • I’ve thought about doing that for awhile now. Only reason I keep it is because most people still use that application and it’s nice to be connected to them. But yes, it’s not very interesting, peple don’t update that much, I should probably just delete it.

  • See the whole problem is that both Xanga and Facebook are also guilty of many of those sins.  I expect any other well-known blog/social networking site will be.  At least MySpace offers something the others don’t–a way to find new music and keep track of up-and-coming bands.  And it doesn’t continually beg you for money by way of an upgraded account or “minis”.  Dealing with a few extra ads for the price of never being harassed or shamed because you won’t spend a dime on something that takes maybe 1% of your day is worth it to me.  Don’t get me wrong though–I deleted MySpace months ago, and Facebook’s turnaround over the last couple years pisses me off the most.

  • I met like three of my bestest friends everrr on myspace.

How about national “Say what you wanted to say the other 364 days of the year but today you get no repercussions” day?

    I’m game for that.

  • I don’t have a myspace account. Just looking at the front page gives me a headache.

  • man, I feel left out… maybe I should get a myspace account so that I can delete it…

  • Myspace will bring on the apocalypse some day. I’m not kidding you. Myspace will be our doom. It’s the evilest thing ever known to internet-kind, and it will destroy us all.

Plus, it be a waste of intarwebsz.

In all seriousness, I really wish myspace had never been invented in the first place. Livejournal is fine, facebook isn’t bad, xanga is the best of them all, but… Myspace is horrible. And evil.

  • ml, that’s great

  • LOL yeah……

I wish everyone would, and come back to xanga, where the party really is at :P

  • “At least MySpace offers something the others don’t–a way to find new music and keep track of up-and-coming bands.” – shamannebula

I have to disagree with that. I go through hell trying to find a song ON myspace to put on a myspace. You can easily find pop bands, but it’s difficult to find any real good music, like something from a broadway musical. You can’t find whatever song you want for your page, you have to go with something that’s already on there. With xanga, you can put any music you want, so long as you can find a host for your music, or find a host with the music you want.

Thus, myspace also fails at music. There’s a ton of sites actually DEDICATED to up-and-coming bands, too.

  • I deleted mine long ago…couldn’t take the porn and the spam any more.

  • never had one and i’m glad

  • DOWN WITH MYSPACE!!! ;)

  • Sorry you all, I’m not deleting mine anytime soon. =(

  • I just noticed someone commenting on your tags..

I would recommend adding something like “evil” to your tags, because that’s all myspace is.

Also, this is one of the best posts in the history of forever.

I also saw a post saying something like, “Why are we focusing on this instead of world hunger?” Okay, so now we need some rich person to come up and vow to donate a dollar to the Red Cross or something for every myspace deleted on January 30th.

  • If you still have myspace, leave a comment on all your friends’ pages telling them to switch to xanga! Your selling point could be that it’s easier for friends, or even just people who are interested in their blog but not necessarily on their FRIENDS list, to subscribe to their feed. I have about 6 people that I’ve never heard of who have subscribed to my feed–which is different from when a xanga user subscribes to another xanga user’s blog. Myspace doesn’t have RSS because myspace blogs are only meant for other myspace users to read. That was a mouth full, but hopefully you all understand, ha!

  • I recently opened a myspace because certain friends have one that don’t have anything else. Nothing happens much on it so it’s no big deal. I don’t get e-mails from them because I changed e-mail providers and haven’t updated myspace.

I love xanga! It’s my all time favorite so “john” doesn’t need to be jealous. :)

  • I saw my favorite DJs (Hybrid) at a club in San Francisco during their US tour last year, and they recognized me from a comment I left them!
Sorry, but I’m keeping my MySpace! Haha…

    Xanga’s still my favorite, though!

  • I already deleted mine along time ago but I fully support the cause!! Social website like Myspace and Facebook annoy me because it discourages actual face to face communication, and encorages popularity and shallowness. People would send me plenty of messages on Myspace but as soon as I got rid of it, people don’t make the effort to txt me or speak to me…

  • hmmm…. i like to park a myspace page just for the sake of being able to log in and comment on my friends’ pages, but i did delete my old xanga from college – had too much drama my employers could look up using google. now my choice of hang out is officially facebook. i rejoined xanga for blogging purposes.

    david jang

  • I would love to delete my acct. I really never use it.  But how exactly do you do it?

  • why would you hate myspace when xanga is the exact same thing, it’s just called by a different name.Besides my space has way better feautures anyways.

  • yeah myspace is pretty stupid. I wish I would have never gotten one.

  • I already deleted my account :)

  • Have an account on MySpace and I rather prefer this one better. The workers of MySpace doesn’t get serious about child safety. I think I will delete my account there on the 30th…

  • I just deleted mines about 1 month ago.  There was way too many hackers and spamming going on there.  Xanga & Facebook is alot better =)

  • Sounds like a plan after all I’ve never really used it that much and since the writer’s strike started I’ve been boycottng the place.

  • fuck myspace, fuck facebook, fuck bad boy as a staff label and as a mothafuckin crew

  • haha genius, that thit has become a featured post :p

  • @HKdragonz -

and if you down with myspace, then…

  • I was trying to delete mine but when I created the account, I put it under the wrong e-mail address. Now it won’t let me get rid of it without the confirmation from the WRONG address.

I wonder who the person is that’s getting all my e-mail….

  • I would delete mine…IF I HAD ONE!! HAHAHA!! “Its only for keeping in touch with family in far places and friends from high school” my @$$!! MySpace is the cause of unnecessary drama and useless gossip. But hats off to that guy Tom. He is quite the genius. He probably sits at home, monitors the activity in his creation and says “Dance my puppets. Dance!” HAHAHAHA!! Thanks for the notice. I’ll be sure to share!

  • If anyone is like me, who got a new e-mail for MySpace, and that e-mail no longer exists, there is still a fol-proof method to get your MySpace deleted.

    Porn and lots of it.

  • Amen!  I have always hated MySpace for being the most user-UNfriendly of any blogging type of page.  And I’ve always raved about Xanga because it is so easy to customize to what the user finds palatable (Now if only Xanga could come up with an EASY way to put background colors on Comments boxes so that I don’t have to click, drag and highlight the comments in order read them!)

  • I predict….

…that their servers will overload, and if they don’t shut down by themselves, the MySpace people will either shut them down or disable deletions. There will be a ‘server unavailable’ message. I don’t think I have an account, but if I made one I never used it. You know, on Facebook you can disable your account but it is still there, and you can reactivate it. On Xanga, you can delete your account, but it doesn’t really go away, you just can’t get back to it. Everything that you put on the Internet is a PERMANENT record. Law enforcement, military services, spy agencies can all get to it later. Think about it.

  • Ha, I’ve never even had one.

  • still deciding haha

  • I’ve been out of that game for a while… but I’m spreading the word! That’s the thing with fads, they come and go. That’s what I like about xanga though; it’s not a fad, it’s just a good down home place to blog and have great conversations! BTW, if you’re wondering what the word “Xanga” means, I think I figured it out…

  • Me too, me too. I hate MySpace. I tried to delete it once but I couldn’t do it! It refused to work.
But I’ll have another go, and not give up this time.

  • I would but I have out of state cousins and old friends from high school

  • I have the same problems that Simon Owens is having…..but, I’m NOT going to delete MY myspace. I DO wish the people of myspace would fix and make it better. I have worked to hard on my profile to delete it.  Sorry, but I will not join you. SORRY! :)

  • Yay! I’ve been looking for the perfect moment to delete mine and this is it, I suppose. Now, all I have to do it figure out how…

  • Did it last year. I dislike myspace with the intense passion of ten -thousand fiery suns.

  • @SenjouShinka - THANK YOU

    someone finally agrees with me.

    go myspace ;]

  • A FREAKING MEN- I hate it, however its useful in tracking my delinquent younger sister’s stupid choices- once she posted my parents home phone number on her home page…. cute huh?

  • “…so much funner.”

I understand why you like Myspace. Makes sense now.

Anyway, I might delete mine and I might not, especially that day considering I’ll be in NYC. I do have some old friends from high school that comment me every so often, but after reading that link I’m not so sure it’s worth it (except for the occasional survey when I get bored). If I have computer access that day, I’m in!

  • D: i love myspace srry.

  • This is a holiday worth celebrating. If I could remember my password, I’d shut mine down.

  • myspace will never replace xanga.  myspace is the antichrist.

  • no…i still use mine.

not one of my friends from school uses xanga. none of my family memembers have xangas.

i looked at all the reasons to delete and the only one i could agree with was the one saying tom should get a new photo.  nobody HAS to keep him on their friends list anyway.

i do not receive any spam because it is set to friends only. they only marriage proposals i get from men in the middle east is on my xanga.

xanga and myspace are two totally different things. i like having both :]

  • I’ve already tried in the past … but it doesn’t delete, no matter what I do.  I’ve even removed all content on my site (I’m now called “Delete Me” and all my information is “Delete Me”), and written MySpace support with my password … and yet … it’s still there.  :(

  • i already deleted mine :D

  • 2 years ago I never heard of myspace.
Some people still can’t figure it out.
    Why the hate?

  • I dont have a myspace never will.

But, I’m all for deleting Some one elses! LOL

  • Haha, that’s awesome.

  • I have never really understood the social site of Myspace,   it felt a bit creepy going on last year for the very last time

  • actually, all i use is facebook anyway. xanga sux.

  • I never got one in the first place, but if I had, I would certainly participate in this day. Facebook is getting almost as bad – and the only reason I joined that was because it was for college students only so I wouldn’t have to deal with all that spam crap.

  • I don’t have one, but I like this!! Hooray! MySpace is a waste!

  • I’ll make one for such an occasion lol. Almost been a Xanga freak for 4 years, never used Myspace and hate it xD

    -Alex-

  • LOL I promise I was JUST thinking about deleting it too.. LOL.. Ill save all the pics and do so on the 30th.. this is awsome!! If we can delete myspace.. maybe we can delete BUSH!!

Ah if life were so simple…

    CHEERS!

  • never had one, so i’m good :)

  • Ironic that you should be saying this. You’re on Xanga, and when you think about it, Xanga is more or less the same thing as MySpace, bust not as mainstream.

  • I agree but I have friends on there from places that I’ve lived before so if I want to keep in touch with them, I have to keep my myspace. lol But let’s bring Xanga back. so much better. ^_^

  • Xanga’s so much better anyway.

  • I’m extremely disappointed in the people attempting to say that xanga and myspace are the same thing.

No, they are not the same thing. Xanga is a blogging community. However much myspace may attempt to call themselves a blogging community, it is not. The site revolves around bulletin posts and wall comments – it’s basically a simple way to mass-email your friends. The vast majority of myspace users have maybe posted one single blog post in the entire time they’ve had their myspace. It’s not the same thing.

Xanga is a community where people blog – often a space for people who are actually intelligent, able to write, and able to spell coherently.

Myspace is not. There are no grammatical requirements for myspace. Look at these xanga comments – the majority of them are readable. Now, go and read a myspace. Chances are, half of the comments will be chatspeak, and not easily readable.

Also, myspace is filled with random slutty women with half-naked pictures on their site that constantly friend you. Does xanga have a bunch of users that are probably actually porn sites? Do you get comments from hacked profiles saying, “hey check this out I got a free purse” and crap like that?

Seriously, think about the differences between xanga and myspace. Also think of the differences between facebook and myspace. While I think xanga is the best of them, facebook is much more similar to myspace than anything else (as it is a community for getting in touch with people instead of blogging), and yet facebook is quite obviously superior. What facebook lacks compared to myspace is… Having a layout where nobody can see or read anything on your profile. I can’t read half of people’s myspace profiles because they’re html-retarded, or obsessed with having some stupid flash layout that makes it extremely difficult to get around. Facebook doesn’t have that – I guess it would be nice to change your facebook profile in that way, but for now, I’m thankful I can go to my friends’ facebook pages and still be able to read them.

There’s no non-friend reason to have a myspace unless you’re trying to keep in touch with new bands. And if you know anything about the internet, you shouldn’t even need myspace for that – there are lots of sites dedicated to those sorts of things. The only good reason to have a myspace instead of a xanga, livejournal, or facebook, is because your friends stay on myspace. Otherwise, the other sites are obviously superior in whichever way you’re looking for, and in the end, you don’t have a ton of stupid ads and comments. Not to mention that myspace is the biggest sell-out and media whore of them all. Facebook is a sell-out and all that crap too, but nowhere near the degree that myspace has been. Besides, myspace and facebook are NOT blogging communities. Livejournal and xanga are blogging communities.

Those of you saying that xanga is no different than myspace need to do some research, or try actually comparing the two. They’re not the same, and they’re not even very similar. Just look at the common habits of the common xanga user vs. the common myspace user. The average xanga user is probably more literate, and probably writes blogs. The average myspace user posts pictures (which facebook does better), and comments/messages their friends constantly (also something that facebook and any other site do anyway).

  • I never thought I’d live to see the day….

A Delete Your Myspace Account Day?

*takes out party materials and party kit*

This makes me look back at the good ol’ days that my cousin (for lack of a better term) and an ex-friend of mine tried to get me to join Myspace because everyone else was doing it and I was like, “fuck Myspace. I luv my Xanga.” I’m effin’ proud of me Xanga and proud that I never gave in to Myspace despite the many times I’ve been tempted to get an account due to so many people using it to keep in touch.

I’m going to rant on Myspace in my Xanga. But before I do that, I salute the person who decided that enough is enough with Myspace, and to adam for bringing this up on Xanga and for his wonderful words:

“Join the fight against the evil that is Myspace!”

Boo Myspace. And I should put the quote above as the Quote of the Day in my Xanga

  • I have deleted mine YEARS ago!!!…. Well, a year and half ago to be exact!!! This is a great move!!! Good job to those of you who did.

  • chea man. january 30th should also be resurrect Xanga day

  • everyone says myspace is so 2005 but if myspace is so old than this is like 2000.

i use both. this more often but whatever. its whatever. uber i have to say is much better than both.

  • Thanks for the support! I put your blog up on the FB Event page > http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=8838384171

  • you all sound like a bunch of pussies lmfao fuck the worlds

  • Luke 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

    Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Turn away from your sins (lying, sex, hatred, lust et. al) and turn to Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ was crucified, died and resurrected from the dead!  He is the ONLY way, truth and life!

If you die in your sin, you will go to hell!  Today is the day of salvation!  Accept Jesus Christ for He is your only hope!

  • I take it back. Xanga does get spam comments.

Fortunately, they’re rare, they’re by real people instead of computer generated, and they’re all about Jesus.

  • YIPPEE! i deleted mine a couple days ago too! the only good post i ever wrote there was “death to myspace”.

  • yeah I should I’m on facebook now

  • Myspace is/was an excellent tool to help give small businesses and artists more exposure, but ever since it was sold off etc. it seems to be more of a place for tools rather than a place for friends.

  • @Naoko_Ai - Awesome comment… haha both of them.

My mom’s name is Naoko, so you already had my vote (so to speak) before I even read your thoughtful comment.  Thanks so much!

  • Darn it. I deleted my myspace a few days ago. I’m ahead of everybody!

  • myspace wouldn’t be so “evil” if stupid people knew how to put their profiles onto private.  and haven’t their parents ever told them: never ever talk to strangers?  same thing as myspace: never ever add strangers!  i still have a myspace.  it’s set as private.  and i only add those i know.  it’s all about common sense.  i’m not deleting my myspace.  yet.  ;)

  • I’m not doing it. I use mine and have friends on it. If you don’t like it that’s y’all’s deal. Delete it and get over it. I’ve never had problems with it. “Oh we’re going to delete our myspaces! Lets make a big deal out of it!” Is basically what you people sound like.

  • I got 30 friend requests in one day from fembots! And 5 middle east men wedding proposal! I’m deleting it soon!

  • Okay, after reading the article and the comments the xangans have been posting, i just had to stick my two cents in before I move along. Everyone seems to have this blatant hatred for myspace, which I can’t understand. How can someone HATE a website? Why don’t they just disregard it. I know people say that xanga is so much better and blah blah blah, but xanga is not the same as myspace, the two shouldn’t be compared. Xanga is a blogging site, mainly for posting the thoughts, ideas, pictures, whatever creative stuff that spills out of your head for others to see. You may meet interesting people when doing this, you may not. Myspace is about keeping in contact with people all over the place, people you know already. Sure, you may encounter the annoying stranger, but that is what the private profile feature is for.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not the number one fan of myspace, I just believe that the reasoning behind this whole “movement” or “revolution” is ridiculous. And the fact that people are actually calling this event by those terms is even more laughable. Perhaps if we put this kind of emotion and effort behind other things, more important things, something that MEANS something, the world wouldn’t be such a shitty place.

Anyway, I read the article and it listed these reasons for people to shut down their sites:

    1. You rarely log in to Myspace except to delete spam friend requests from nude webcam girls.

-There is a privacy function people, I use it and my whole spam request problem has been eliminated. Don’t complain because you are too lazy to protect yourself from inevitable spam. This is the internet, it’s everywhere, xanga included.

    2.
You spend five minutes writing a wall post only to hit an error message
when you try to post it because of all the website glitches.

-Granted, the site does have glitches, mainly due to it’s popularity. I mean, who hasn’t heard of myspace? Anything getting that much traffic is sure to have problems. Even so, it hasn’t occured enough for me to be like “OMG”.

    3. You’re a girl who constantly gets marriage proposals from random men in the middle east.

-Again. Private Profile. That option is there for a reason. Also, block messages from people who aren’t friends. This is obvious stuff that no one should be complaining about.

    4. You visit someone’s Myspace profile only to suddenly have music
start blasting out of your speakers. Bonus points if it happens to you
    while you’re at work.

-You people really don’t look into account settings, do you?

    Other Profiles:

<label for=”ctl00_ctl00_cpMain_cpSettings_MiscellaneousControl_chkAutoBandMusicPlayer”>Auto-start profile and band music players.

Don’t whine about things that you can change with the simple click of your mouse.

    5. You have to make redundant clicks to perform simple tasks because
Myspace keeps taking you to advertisement pages where you have to click
on “return to myspace profile” in order to continue what you’re doing.

I’m not really sure what this means, I’ve rarely been taken to an advertisement without me clicking on it intentionally, except for when you first sign in and have that opening ad with the link “continue to myspace” or something like that. Other sites have it, it’s not a big deal… nothing to cause a huge movement over.

    6. You visit someone’s profile only to have your eyes bleed because
of terrible page layout with non-matching designs and font colors.

-This happens on xanga as well, anywhere that you have the ability to use your own creativity to design your page has this risk. Should we begin taking away people’s creativity?

    7. Your experience is hindered because of intrusive banner ads that
either talk to you or try to reach out and block your view of what
    you’re trying to look at.

-Okay, I’ll admit, talking ads piss me off. But I have seen them on many other sites as well.

    8. You read yet another news account about how some child predator
using Myspace has abducted a little girl or that some hoax myspace
account has caused a teenager to commit suicide.

-They don’t only use myspace to prey on children, but kids who are not educated with internet safety and use myspace do make it easier for them to be a victim of an attack. The responsibility lies with the parents to make sure their kids aren’t posting information that could land themselves in trouble.

    9. You’re frustrated with the fact that Myspace doesn’t allow you to
post your contact info, meaning to contact someone you can only use
Myspace’s glitchy Instant Messenger, message/email system, or wall
    commenting.

-It allows you. It might not have a designated box, but you have the opportunity to post that information anywhere on your page, whether it be in the about me section, who I’d liek to meet… whatever.

    10. You’re tired of seeing Tom stare out at you from millions of
friends lists and just wish he would change his fucking profile picture.

-Okay, Well yeah. Why does he have to be friends with everyone anyway? If anything, turn it into a “Delete Tom From Your Friends List” movement lol.

All I’m saying is that there doesn’t seem to be any real reason to throw such a hissy fit over a website. It’s not THAT bad. Anything that grows to be this popular is bound to have people who hate it, because so many people want to go against conforming, revolt against the social norm and just be anti-anything. But honestly, this is just so ridiculous that even you have to realize that this is just a whole big waste of time about nothing.

And I guess I am done, I suppose I was more bored than I though, and I am bracing myself for the flaming that is sure to come my way.

  • Maybe we should all get MySpace accounts on a bunch of different e-mail addresses and add lots of people then delete the account on the 30th…I think it’s more of an impact that way.

  • i deleted mine a longgggg time ago and am so relieved !

  • I actively maintain my xanga and mypace pages. =/

  • I’d rather not. Myspace is the only way I talk to my sisters pretty much. lol.

I see where you’re coming from though. Myspace does kind of suck. Something is always breaking down, accounts get hacked into, spam, blah blah blah. Pisses me off. Plus it has corrupted the mind of teens and gotten them addicted to the stupid site.

  • Yes! Death to myspace!

I have gladly killed my myspace account (which was unbelieveably difficult) and happily admit the crime of doing so!

Yes, fellow Xanga brethren, let us all observe the holy day of myspace account deletion! Praise be to Xanga!!!

  • Oh yes, I’m never going to Myspace, never had, never will, Xanga’s MUCH safer even though they don’t have as many features. But still safety overrides that. I’m still mad at all those DAMN kids at my school who have a Myspace. There should be a reward of some sort like a free $10 to Kroger for deleting or not ever having a Myspace account (with the exception that if you go back to Myspace in the future you will have to pay back that $10). This will encourage all to leave Myspace for good. Heck we should start a strike!

  • @ohSHEsmiles - That isn’t good enough. I am a tech genius and it’s still EASY to hack a account on Myspace, even if it is private. You see, there’s a special 10-digit number assigned to all members, and if you type the number in the address bar with simple php syntax, BAM! you got yourself a fishy!

  • A new reason to delete your myspace:

Myspace is one of the most easily hack-able sites on the internet. In fact, it’s really easy to find tons of people’s phone numbers, card numbers, and even social security numbers through google from myspace. Plus, it’s not exactly a mystery as to how to hack a myspace. It’s something that even amateur hackers can easily do.

I’m sure xanga and other sites aren’t that hard to hack, but obviously, myspace is more hack-prone, especially if you’re not internet savvy at all.

  • Oh and by the way, the account I hacked was my own test account I created and then deleted, so no privacy violation was done.

  • Na, not in. On myspace I found close family Id lost touch with 5 years ago and couldnt otherwise find unless I hired a private investigator,  Ive kept in contact with good friends there from 1200 miles away and its keeping me in touch with someone I love all the way in Ireland.  Its brought me good things in the last 4 years.  A lot of people are just idiots and take myspace too seriously and dont use common sense when they meet people on it, then go off to meet a predator *shrugs*

  • OK, HEADS UP EVERYONE! DIRECT YOUR ATTENTION HERE!

for those who do want to keep your myspace or get one, for God’s sake use a pseudonym! A  pseudonym is a false identity that you can use on the internet. It’s not illegal, and all info is ivalid even though it’s hard to see that. To get your  pseudonym, there is a website out there that is http://www.fakenamegenerator.com . Here is an example  pseudonym generated from the website:

  • @weatherpatrick92

The whole pseudonym thing kind of defeats the purpose of myspace. It’s so people can find you to keep in touch with you. My half sister whom I had never met found me in myspace and now because of that I have her in my life. If I changed everything to a pseudonym, I may be missing out on the people in my family who are trying to find me.

People just have to be smart and stop blaming myspace for their own stupidity. Don’t put private info on the site, that’s all there is to it.

  • @Rissababe203 - I see your point. The first name is safe to keep, but still it is recommended to use false last names and everything else because a hacker can database search a last name and find out lots about you. If you are willing to take the risk of being hacked or identity-thieved, go ahead as long as you’re ABSOLUTELY confident in doing so and you know how to safeguard your personal info. I’m not forcing you to use false Identities, I just stress that it is much much more secure. You can (if you know them) tell your family members your fake pseudonym and they’ll find you, but in your case when you have lost family and friends… yes I would use the real first name, and maybe the real last name if I know I won’t be hunted down. Real emails can be used without much threat also, but again you might be databased according to email somewhere out there.

Like I said, you don’t have to use a pseudonym. Just use one if you are not 100% confident you will not be tracked or hunted down.

  • i agree xanga like totally rocks so much more than myspace!

  • None of my friends xanga anymore, like the good ole days in 2004…

NONE of them have updated their xangas since then… :[

So that's why I keep my myspace... And I like them both. :]

  • I love your blog! Check out mine? Don’t forget to comment! Come see all my thoughts, hopes, dreams, and opinions! And tell your friends on xanga, so they can comment too. Thanks!
    –poetrhyme

    PS: I myself, am a myspace-hater!

  • I’d honestly rather delete my facebook account.  I get way more invites/application things on there that bug the piss out of me than the spam bots on myspace.  Yes, myspace is glitchy and obnoxious at times for many reasons, but it is a way to communicate with friends.

  • Dude, I deleted my MySpace account THREE times and Tom still hasn’t deleted it.

  • Hysterical. If I hadn’t already deleted my account, I would do it now. I may make an account just to delete it. =]] =]]

    -Cryssie Leah

  • men, you guys must HATE myspace. . .

why not join friendster instead XD

  • @Rissababe203 -

I’d have to say I def agree with your comment with the list of reasons to delete myspace. Personally I deleted it because all I ever do on it is blog… I hate that all my friends can be so sweet, but on myspace they become picture comment whores and I’m a horrible person if I don’t comment aaaaaaall their 3738383 pics of their vacation, even the ones of their arse-ugly dog sticking his nose up a person’s butt. What am I supposed to say to that? “ahah you got dognosed”??

So while your list is great… here’s one of my own…

    Reasons to delete your MySpace:

    1. All you want is to blog and comment people… NOTHING ELSE (like me) … Xanga is perfect for that.

    2. You have great friends in life, but when they’re on MySpace, they harrass you with picture comment requests.

    3. Same friends beg you to add so-and-so so that they will whore them so they can have 239842348932473 friends.

    4. Your friends will annihilate you if you shove them any further down your Top 378484 list. I sooo miss the old Top 8 back in 05 or 04 where you couldn’t decide who was on your top list. Seriously.

    5. If you altogether have great friends who turn into Monsters and MySpace whores on MySpace.

Me? I’m not into the whole commenting pictures and bulletins and messages and comments fad. What I like doing is commenting people’s blogs that reflect what they think or feel, or even some sarcastic humorous satiric thing on the Xanga frontpage. I also like receiving comments on my own blog for that. I like comments with meaning. And I like staying in touch with people. So all I want to do is eMail or Xanga. It’s all I need.

That and I looooove making layouts because working with HTML is good practice for a future job in layout designing for big companies (I mean, SOMEONE’S paid to do amazon.com’s site, right?).

So you’re list is great, but there are a few reasons good enough to say GOODBYE MYSPACE. =]]

    -Cryssie Leah

  • LoL..   this is soooooooo funnie

  • LOL! its funny how xanga featured this. trying to get rid of competition?

  • Rock on! Myspace is Evil!

    TOM IS NOT MY FRIEND!!

  • myspace isn’t evil. the people in it are evil.

    if a person is
an attention whore on myspace, then that person is probably an
attention whore in real life. if there was no myspace, then that person
would find other ways to get attention. pedophiles would find other
    sick ways to lure children.

otherwise, myspace is an easy way to
network. and with a little self control and awareness, it can be
harmless. but doesn’t mean everyone should conform. but also doesn’t
mean that everyone should be so against it. it may not be your thing.

if that wasn’t the comment you were looking for then disregard it and
    WOOHOO! DOWN WITH MYSPACE!

  • and ya know, myspace really is a smack in the face, reality. let’s
just say i demote someone on my top 8 and they get offended. if there
wasn’t myspace, i’d demote that person anyways without announcement.
i’d probably just keep note to myself, “note to self: that girl that
you thought was your friend…really isn’t.” yeah, so maybe myspace
does bring the evil out in people. *shrugs*

  • whoa – I didn’t think there really would be.
Does that mean I should get a Myspace account first and delete it on that day?
    Nah.
    =P
Go.. evil-deleters? <– is that even a word?

  • so in!!!

  • way ahead of the game!!!

  • i would join in on the fun, buuuut…..i deleted mine already. i told tom he was not my friend.

  • hate myspace. :S

  • I am surprised how many comments there have been submitted in this entry

  • After reading some of the ridiculous comments made here, all I can say is, to those of you who are waving bye bye to the site, good riddance  It’s a social network site and contrary to popular belief, with common sense, knowledge of the functions available and children’s safety in mind, it’s possible to use it without hiccups.

  • hey guys check this out ,, http://www.colourmyheart.com  it’s simple and no advertisement.. just for place for friends and blogging this is not a bot i am the guy who made this site.. to prove i am not ocmputer ( lol dfsjbyuf u  idashufhuewcu w check out my xanga lol wdahduqed )

U can blog and upload videos etc ..ad friends no bots

    My xanga……xanga.com/colourmyheart_dotcom

  • @Starshine_Faerie -

Love your reasons. And they pretty much summarize Myspace in its entirety.

I don’t get why people say that they use Myspace to keep in touch with friends and family. I mean, wasn’t that the reason why e-mail addresses became a necessity when people found out about it?

  • …why would u do that?

  • I say lets bring back xanga and keep myspace for abandoning!!!!! (AND facebook!)

  • Count me in too…..MySpace destroyed my computer and it is Sucks……

    Xanga is my new home

    ..:: dante

  • xanga & newblog are much better than myspace but I really don’t mind it now that I’ve blood all the filthy spam.

  • Should’ve started it a long time ago. ^^

  • newblog & xanga are much better but I really don’t mind it now that I’ve blocked all the filthy spam.

  • I would never leave xanga for myspace.  I’d never leave xanga for facebook either.

I hate those dang sites, use them mainly to keep in touch and network.  Hate them both though.

  • People… stop comparing xanga with myspace or facebook.

    Different sites, different purposes.

So don’t say that xanga is better or whatever. Xanga is better for blogging because that’s what it is all about. Myspace and facebook have different purposes. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you can recognize that 98% of these arguments are ridiculous.

  • i feel for you, i very rarely visit my space…havent been there since i opened the acct..

  • yup- it’s already done!

  • I totally disagree…Almost all my friends have a myspace and that is the only way I can get to talk to most of them. I don’t really like to use the phone and even if I did I don’t have all of their phone numbers…Also it is so easy to get info and add info and work on the layout…Don’t get me wrong I do have a Xanga wich I use everyday, but none of  my other friends do…Also there is way to much of them asking you to pay for all the features on Xanga and it totally irritates me. A free site is supposed to be just that…FREE!!! So no I am not going to delete my Myspace account. I use it every day. The only way I will ever stop using it is if Myspace ever shuts down or if computers no longer exist. If you want to delete your account by all means go ahead, but just do it whenever you feel like it not just on some special day. If youy don’t like Myspace that is your personal buisness but don’t ruin it for the others who do.

  • i <3 my myspace. :)

  • Pssht! Who needs a MySpace when you’ve got a Xanga? Everyone knows all the cool kids are on Xanga. ;]

  • If it’s that annoying and stupid, why do any of you people have a MySpace in the first place?

  • @Carpus06 -

    I agree

I love myspace personally. I use it to keep up with friends and family.
I can see photos of family I never get to see because I am far away. I
can read my cousins awesome poetry that she writes in her blog. I just
like it. I don’t get spam and all that crap so myspace is good in my book. It is also a great place for new music artist to get exposure and develop a fan base without even having a record deal. Which is great for me since I am an aspiring artist. And in the film section amateur filmmakers can upload short films..it is a great social community as far as I am concerned. All those that are dissatisfied should delete their account.

  • aww man, i celebrated it too early.

    haha, i deleted it a couple day ago.and i’m glad i did^-^

  • Lmfao.
It’s sorta funny that this is actually serious.

If you really didn’t like myspace, or don’t, just ignore the site.
What glory are you going to get by deleting your myspace on Jan. 30?
    Nobody is going to care.

I love Xanga, but I like Myspace too.
If you have a problem with someone liking myspace, well then, it sucks for you.

  • aww, too bad I started back to using myspace again, otherwise I would into that.  For all those that are going to delete their myspace, I say HELL YEAH!!!!!

  • I found some weird thing like a ‘snapshot’ of my page taking it’s place – all the media that I linked from uploads I provide on another host page has been replaced by these :/msplink/path things and going back to update it doesn’t work…., usualy reply email, “That issue is currently being resolved.  Please be patient. “
       Anyone know anything?

  • Gah. I wish i could. But it’s so i can talk to my aunt. Sorry! :/

  • There is NO WAY I am going to delete my MySpace. I go on there everyday.

  • I always liked Xanga much better.

I already deleted my Myspace three weeks ago.

  • thank god they finally thought of this day. I deleted mine months ago. soooo I’VE BEEN IN!!!

  • Everybody better. I would… if I had one. lol

  • I should do that.
    Yeah.

  • I happen to love Myspace, if used appripriately, adn the 30th is my birthday, so I’ll be getting ltos of comments anyways.

    :)

  • I found a flash layout for it months ago, it looks good, but I really should shut it down, it’s such a useless concept, especially when you have xanga!

  • you’ve gotta be kidding me. xanga’s stressed me out way worse than myspace ever has. and what’s with this @ thing, is it the new ryc

  • I used to hate myspace. Now I don’t. There are many perverts there, but I also got a lot of great friends in myspace so I am NOT deleting mine. I think to have good friends in myspace, you need to know where to look.

  • Oh, btw, Xanga is way better than Myspace, Facebook or anything. Xanga is for people who are serious about writing and sharing of ideas and thoughts. Myspace is merely for well, fun.

  • lol that just made my day. i shall delete mine since myspace is full of drama.

  • long ago!  I support this day of action.

  • I posted a bulletin to all my friends on MySpace telling them my email address so that we can still keep up if they don’t want to switch to Xanga.  I told them I’m leaving MySpace and not looking back, and I’ll wait until January 30 so Tom can feel the impact.  I am sick of porn spam and virus-filled messages and ugly sites and waiting for damn ever for sites to come up…

How do we get Jenna Fisher from The Office to move her famous blog?  That’s the only thing I’ll miss.

  • its a hit n miss sorta deal. you either love to hate myspace or hate to love it,,

  • lol..i don’t knowbut i think its dumb…i mean whats the gain, it’s just myspace…yea it sucks to hear about kids gettin molested coz of an online creeps but you can find that just about anywhere, and if they care not to know better about meeting up with people privately-coz lets be real you can’t always avoid the curiosity especially at a young age-at least meet them up in a very public place with a few friends, let them be the lookout.  AND i think its up to the parents to let their kids know bout that shit.

and yea myspace is dumb, never to be taken seriously, and everyone has a choice whether or not to go to it. as for facebook vs myspace…fuck it go to  friendster.. that was even before myspace! lol

take cares and have a good friday

  • Thats something new, though I do have a myspace but I don’t do anything with it being that it’s protected and so I’m not annoy by all the nonsense but I could understand why myspace is a stinky place :P

  • i would, but i have a group with a couple thousand members. it would stink if it closed down. that is the only reason i don’t shut mine down. i hardly ever go there.

  • I like my Myspace. It keeps me connected to friends I could have lost when I moved. :)

  • @momofjenmatt -   I have a myspace!  Oh no, I’m getting all jittery just thinking about deleting it!  LOL!

  • Oh I did get this reply, so it works.

  • count me in.  I’m so sick of bots telling me they want me to look at their webcam.

  • pshhhh . LAME IDEA . i`m not deleting jack . wtf is this anyway ?! myspace is the sh!ttt .

    - crystal <3

  • this sucks . myspace is the stuff . you`re not gonna get anyone to do this .

    - crystal <3

  • does this mean that the creator of the ‘delete your myspace account’ site will shut it down on the 30th?

whoever said to resurect xanga, i completely agree.

  • I’m in! Oh- wait… I don’t even have one… I deleted mine 12 hours after I made it. DOWN WITH MYSPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“My Space, a place for perv- uhh, I meant… freaks.”

  • But…but…but..I kinda like it…

  • I hate myspace with a passion. I only have it because some of my friends use it exclusively and I can’t seem to convince them to come over to xanga. What I found funny in the article is that they are saying the less tech savvy people prefer myspace. That is so ridiculous. Xanga is much more userfriendly and more intuitive than myspace. Just the other day I tried to change my profile picture over there and it took me 30 minutes to figure it out. Because it would only make sense to have it and do it under your “profile” information. But no, myspace hides it somewhere else. And yes… all the error messages…. OMG! I can’t stand it!

  • I also don’t understand this movement. The reasons for deleting one’s account listed on the link have only occurred at most 10% of the time [to me]. I’ve had my account for over 2 years now, so I understand the spam requests, comments, messages, etc. Myspace has tried to work out most of these problems by giving users privacy settings, and other users; and it seems to be working fairly well. Maybe Myspace is not as glitchy on my computer due to the fact that I use a different browser than most people, but nevertheless, I haven’t heard many complaints about Myspace other than sexual predators. Facebook also has spammed advertisements, so don’t point fingers only at Myspace.

ps-correct me if I’m wrong, but this post reminds me of a cult…O.o

  • I never had one, thank goodness. I love the reasons listed, so true. I’m marking this on my calendar, just for future reference.

  • I wonder how many teenagers will commit suicide.

Good thing I don’t have a Myspace. Fucking Tom. Hate that fucker.

  • @eskirara - Yes the @ is the new RYC.

  • ryc dan - thanks dan. for some reason i think i’ll continue saying “ryc” because the @ symbol reminds me too much of email.. and i’ve seen enough email to get some glass ones. for reals. wait.. is this @ thing automated?!

    ….

  • I deleted mine ages ago, but almost want to create one just so I can participate…

  • im gonna have to say naw. non of my friends use xanga anymore. they quit using it in 2005 when everyone started to go to myspace. hell i just decided to go back to xanga because i want to write things that i dont want my friends to see but i dont care if others see it. plus i gotta keep intouch with my friends in the military and friends in other states somehow

  • boo if I had known this day was going to exist in the future I would’ve held out.

    cool though

  • I hate myspace with my whole heart. and I deleted one but I fell under peer pressure, and now I get requests daily on the stupid thing from old friends that I know will never make one of these.

I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place!

  • why would i jump on the bandwagon and delete my myspace just because someone makes up a random day to do it?

I’m blonde, but i’m not stupid.

  • I couldnt delete my myspace. Most of the people I talk to are on myspace, and incredibly enough, have yet to hear about xanga. Personally I do think xanga is better. At least on here you can write about something and then have your friends comment about it, versus just leaving an empty comment on a page. But I only keep my myspace for certain contacts. If I can pursuade them over to xanga, i’d blow it up for sure!

  • ryc, I agree with you that Ron Paul has been fiscally conservative with very few earmarks and thus very few pork projects. He sets a good example for a Congress that has spent over $70 of pork since 2005. He should be congratulated – and so should John McCain – on not indulging in earmarks and pork barrel spending. However, while Ron Paul easily has the 2nd fewest amount of sponsored earmarks for any presidential candidate, McCain actually has the fewest – zero (link). McCain also voted against Bush’s tax cuts in order to help prevent inflation though he would not vote to have them removed as that would constitute a tax increase at this point.

  • I lost mine over a year ago.  ^^’.  I literally just can’t find it.  But, if I could, I would join the cause.  =D

  • Just did it last week.  I was just so sick and tired of it, it was pretty pointless!

  • I don’t even have one. Win!

  • As much as I hate MySpace, that’s the only way I can stay in contact with some of my friends.

    Long Live Xanga!

  • Did that a while back! HAHA but it’s an amazing idea though. :D

  • it’s about fucking time

  • MYSPACE SUCKS!

  • Like many others, I deleted my myspace a while back, about a year ago. My answer to the “my freinds are on there!” I met people on there from HS I lost contact with..but we lost contact for a reason…beucase we didnt have anything in common! And the friends who acctually miss me being on there, well I hope that I mean enough to them that they can take the time and send me a regualr e-mail like a normal person!

  • im offically forgotten my myspace account
so i dun even know how to login…

  •  i’ve been trying to delete my myspace for a while…. and, well.. it’s still there!?

it creeps me out… endless spam and automated msg.. and not to mention, creeps.

i will try again on the 30th… wish me luck :)

  • I just did too :) a couple days early but oh well

  • ..umm…there has to be a national day? I’m sorry but thats really lame! If you don’t want a myspace then delete it when you want or never get one. Why is there a national day?

  • As much as I hate Myspace, I still will want to keep it tos tay conected with freinds I havent seen in years.  Most people there aren’t really bloggers.

  • myspace is a waste of time

  • oh man, i missed the day.
    too bad.
i’ll just keep myspace and xanga.

i use them both, i post more on xanga, but i only have a few friends here…

  • I’ll have to remember where  put it

  • :ssgrin::sssmile:

  • Delete Myspace?!  Hell, I made an attempt at using that trash heap and ended up throwing my hands up (preferable to throwing the keyboard into the monitor) in disgust.  Didn’t bother to delete my account; just turned and fled, glad to be out in one piece.  Maybe if I use a long stick or somethin’, I could sneak back in that filth and poke at the keyboard with it to delete the account.

  • myspace is so boring !

  • is myspace is dat evil??

  • how do I delete it if I gave a fake email adress? please help me.thank you
